Larry C. Fertich, 62, of Stag Drive, Lake Wynonah, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown area, where he had been a patient since Sunday.
 
He was married to Mary L. Lusso Fertich, his wife of 33 years.
 
Born in Pottsville, April 21, 1945, he was a son of Dorothy Herring Fertich, Lavelle, and the late Benjamin Fertich. He was a 1963 graduate of Ashland Area High School and earned an associate degree from Penn State University.
 
He served his country as a member of the Army Reserves.  He was a civil engineer working in construction management in various geographic locations. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn. Larry volunteered with Boy Scouts of America and his hobbies were geneology and railroading.
 
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a daughter, Elizabeth J. Fertich, Alexandria, Va.; a son, William B. Fertich, Auburn; two brothers, Dale Fertich, Biglerville, and Paul Fertich, Harrisburg; a sister, Pauline Shirk, Ashland.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1235 Summer Hill Road with the Rev. Nicholas Pence Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Interment will be in Citizen's Cemetery, Lavelle.
The family requests donations be made in his memory to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Living Memorial Fund, 1235 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922.
